Girls beat boys, top ICSE exams this year

Girls have once again outdone boys in the Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE) Class X and Indian School Certificate Board exams for Class XII. The results came out on Tuesday.

The average pass percentage of girls in both the classes is higher registering it at 98.63 per cent and 98.23 per cent in Class X and Class XII, respectively, whereas their counterparts managed to secure an average of 97.57 per cent and 96.10 per cent, respectively.

Delhi students studying in ICSE recognised schools are also happy with the outcome. Reva Dutta, a humanities stream student from Sri Ram School, has emerged as the school topper securing 96.5 per cent marks. Also she has secured 97 in English and History.

A golf enthusiast, her plan is to study in one of the Delhi University colleges. “I will fill the forms for political science, history and sociology. I am really happy with my board result. I just hope I get into the college of my choice,” she said.

ICFAI offers Xplod

ICFAI Campus Programmes Admissions department is organising a Talent Search Examination – Xplod – based on the GMAT pattern in Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad. It will conduct five mock tests and provide counselling at the end of the tests. There are attractive prizes up for grabs.

There is a registration fee for the five written examinations, an interactive CD comprising mock tests, and a copy of a leading journal/magazine. Top 25 per cent of the students who take the examinations will be identified as future management talent and given prizes equivalent to Rs.1,000. Apart from this, the three toppers will get cash awards of Rs. 10,Wholesale Wallets,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 5,000 each.

The test dates are August 26,Chanel Sunglasses, September 9, September 30, October 21 and November 4.
